Diane Hultgren, LMFT
Diane Hultgren is a Licenced Marriage and Family Therapist with over 15 yrs experience working in the mental health and human services arena. Diane's passion for the work she does as a therapist began when she volunteered as an advocate for foster youth at CASA and as an Advocate Supervisor there. It was in those roles that she saw how positive and supportive relationships can dramatically change lives.
Diane's background as a therapist includes training and experience working with foster youth and their families and working with children, adolescents and adults who are struggling with life circumstances and difficult relationships. She has extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Trust Based Relational Therapy, Trauma Resiliency, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and expressive PlayTherapy. Diane strives to meet clients where they are at and meet their unique and individual needs with respect and honor for the wisdom the client brings to their own healing journey. Diane believes that the therapeutic relationship can offer immense potential for growth and that changes in life are more about progress than perfection. She offers therapy for those who are navigating life transitions, difficulties in personal relationships, parenting, codependency, depression, stress and anxiety.
When not practicing therapy, Diane can be found enjoying the beauty of Santa Barbara, playing with her 2yr old grandson, enjoying meals with family and friends and volunteering in the community.
